The SEO case study focuses on optimizing the online visibility of Twelve One Projects, a Videographer and Photographer service based in Des Moines, Iowa, and extending its reach beyond the local area.

The Product

Twelve One Projects specializes in providing photography and videography services for various events and occasions. The goal is to increase their organic search ranking, enhance the online presence, making their services more discoverable for potential clients through search engine traffic.

Project Duration

The SEO (Search Engine Optimization) project is expected to span 2 months.

The Problem

The existing online presence of Twelve One Projects was doing great but they wanted to Search Engine Optimize for the future. The website lacked content and the content it did have was not Search Engine Optimized, didn’t have relevant keywords, or effective backlinks, resulting in lower search engine rankings. And even though they were currently booked and doing great traffic numbers they still wanted to address the position in the search rankings now because it can take a long time to see results.  Also we discovered that the hours on their Google business profile had been edited without their knowledge to say closed all day everyday. This can happen if someone “suggests an edit” to google and you don’t see the email to deny the submission. This is a form of competitor sabotage.

The primary goal of this SEO case study is to improve the search engine ranking of Twelve One Projects. This involved correcting their Google business profile, optimizing website content, incorporating relevant keywords, and building quality backlinks to increase online visibility.

My Role

As the SEO specialist for this project, my role was to lead the optimization efforts and implement strategies to enhance the website’s search engine performance and organic rankings.

You can see we are getting a couple hundred hits a day, and on January 22, 2024, we had a boost because we published the new Google business profile that I created for Twelve One Projects and asked our Facebook followers to go and leave us a review, so we had a big boost in traffic hits that day, as you can see below.
