The Challenge

After seeing the successful launch of the City of Springfield’s new website, the Springfield Chamber of Commerce reached out to me directly. Their goal was to create a modern, easy-to-navigate website with member-restricted access and a public-facing business directory—one that could grow with the Chamber and better serve local businesses.

Their old website lacked functionality, was rarely updated, and provided little value to members. They needed something fresh, secure, and functional that could help them manage events, member resources, and increase engagement with the community.

The Solution

Using WordPress and a trusted membership plugin, I created a secure, scalable platform tailored to the Chamber’s needs. Key features included:

• Member-Only Portal for resources, documents, and exclusive content

• Business Directory organized by category with search and filter options

• Event Management System with RSVP and ticketing capability

The Result

Chamber staff now manage their directory and content in-house, and members benefit from a streamlined experience. The site has become a central hub for community events, business visibility, and Chamber resources.

After working with the City of Springfield, the Chamber contacted me thanks to a referral from city staff.
